The Sikh Humanitarian Society (Girls)


Under the aegis of Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender, a separate free educational institute for girls was set up in 2000 at Rohini in the name of Sikh Humanitarian Society (Regd). This Kender was inaugurated by the Lt. Governor of Delhi Sh. Vijay Kapoor Ji in 2000, near the resettlement colony of 1984 riots. It was established under the guidance of Late Justice R.S.Narula Ji (Retired Chief Justice Punjab & Haryana High Court), S. Satpal Singh Ji, S. Tirath Singh & Bibi Raminder Kaur Ji(Daughter of S. Hukam Singh). S. Gubax Singh Ji is looking after the Kender along with retired educationists.

The Society works for empowering the girl child by providing free education, spiritual/moral training and technical training/skilling to equip the girls to be catalysts of change. All expenses of Books, Stationary, Uniforms, Tuition fee, Admission & Exam, fee etc. are borne by the institution.

The Sikh Humanitarian Society is registered under the Society Act of 1860 and Donation to the Society is exempted under 80-G. It is also authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India under FCRA to receive foreign donations.
