Our free educational institution for needy children aims to educate underprivileged Sikh Children in an atmosphere of love and tolerance. We focus on providing all basic facilities to nurture a kid and help him/her grow and shine in this world. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender lays a great emphasis on developing spirituality and devotion towards God, whilst guiding students to be Intelligent, Honest, loving, and hardworking individuals. What We Do Here at Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender we promote the Spiritual environment, where the children learn how peace and warmth can transform the world into lively heaven. A place to experience this amazing aura of devotion and spirituality, where one can find eternal calmness. We help these kids to explore their depths with help of guided spirituality training. They get to learn about honest labor, and why it's crucial to live a simple but honest life. In these surroundings, they learn how to differentiate between what’s good or bad for them. We believe in shaping these kids into better human beings in a spiritual and loving environment. We work on empowering many underprivileged and financially deprived Sikh children by imparting better education and lifestyle. The institute has been working since 1980 in the human welfare and education sector for creating a better future for today’s Generation. This institute offers multiple courses ranging from Engineering Courses like Dip. In Mechanical & Civil Engineering etc. Paramedical Courses, Computer Courses, Industrial Training Courses/Skill Development Courses, and much more. Students also receive Divinity Education with the help of Gurmat courses being offered by institutes like Santhya Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Gurbani Vichar (to learn about the Gurbani), Sikh History, Sikh Philosophy, Diploma in Divinity, and Short-Term Course in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies. The way children are being shaped over here is highly proficient and very different from the normal schooling approach. The children get to study, play, and essentially participate in spiritual practices. How We Make Difference A beautiful home to 200 young deprived children from various parts of India, here the entire expenditure of boarding, lodging, food, uniforms, books, stationery, school & university fees including other educational expenses such as health & hygiene, medical, academic, technical & professional, etc. is borne by the Society. Our institution helps the underprivileged Sikhs acquire basic academic knowledge up to senior secondary under NIOS, further a student can opt for desired vocational courses like polytechnic in engineering branches, designing, tech training. Moreover, the children are taught about Gurmat, Gurbani, the essence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the ways Sikh practice their religion, the Sikh History, Sikh music (The Kirtan), and much more. From schooling or graduation to specialized skilling courses, each student is trained according to his aptitude and willingness to earn a better lifestyle. To achieve this mission of free education for unprivileged Sikhs, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender has two registered societies viz Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vidya Kender Society for Boys & Sikh Humanitarian Society for Girls, which work efficiently by the grace of God in favor of a positive cause to give a better lifestyle to an underprivileged kid.
